At the March 27th Friends of Finance luncheon Dean Kathy Taylor officially announced the the newly established Center for Real Estate Studies. With expanded offerings in real estate beginning with Dean Taylor’s arrival in Fall 2021, the center brings together faculty, student, alumni, and community activity from the past three years into one new home for real estate activities at TU.
Later that evening, the 3rd annual Real Estate Career Networking Event was held in the Faculty Club. More than 100 professionals and students attended, creating opportunities for students to learn about and connect with local professionals working in all aspects of real estate from development, banking, residential and commercial brokerage, architecture, hospitality, property management, affordable housing, city planning, private equity and more – showcasing the many opportunities available to students interested in real estate as a future career or future personal investment opportunities in real estate.
The second cohort of students graduating with the real estate minor this spring was also recognized at the event, those in attendance included Ileana Braddock, Alex Fernandez, Jackson McKinney, Antonio Pastrana, Jaquay Shavers, and Cat Thomason.
